Let me just start by saying, I really loved this book! It wasn’t your typical thriller with one big “ah-hah” shocking moment, but the entire story itself was suspenseful, layered, and absolutely engaging.
We meet Andre and Becca Gifford, a married couple heading out on a cruise to celebrate their 10-year anniversary. At first, everything feels dreamy and picture-perfect—romance, excitement, new adventures, and even a quirky new friend named Olive, a 91-year-old with the sharp wit and spirit of someone decades younger. But beneath the surface, not everything is as it seems.
From there, the story takes a sharp turn into betrayal, survival, and ultimately revenge. What I loved most is how the author built tension in unexpected ways. Instead of relying on one twist, the novel delivers a steady stream of suspense that kept me turning pages and rooting for Becca.
By the end, I was both shocked and deeply satisfied. The themes of resilience, friendship, and long-awaited justice made this a book I couldn’t put down. Without spoiling too much, let’s just say—justice does get served, and it’s worth every page.
Easily one of the best books I’ve read this year.
