Holiday Life Update

Let’s Recap!

It’s been a minute since I’ve done a life recap and the last one was after losing my grandma, so this one feels like a much-needed mood shift. Less heavy. More life happening and all the things in between.

First up: my work peeps officially know about my blog now (hi 👋). It was actually really nice sharing that side of me and not feeling like it’s some secret second life. Work itself has been busy lately, but in a good, productive way — the kind where the days go fast and you feel like you’re actually contributing.

Today was especially cool because I was part of a recorded call where we walked through what our team does and why it matters. The goal was to raise awareness across the department and give people a clearer picture of our role. It felt weirdly empowering to explain my job out loud and realize… yeah, this is actually important work and could be useful to somebody, but I cannot confirm or deny if I was breathing into a paper bag when it was over.

On the fun side of life: I’ve been having a blast over on Threads lately. It feels lighter, more conversational, and way less curated, which honestly suits me just fine. I’m over there as @therecapvault if you’re on Threads too, I’d love to connect! 🤍

Book-wise, a new thriller recap is up (and you already know I have thoughts). Nothing like sneaking in some reading chaos during an already chaotic season. I’ve got my eye on a couple books to check out next, but it’s that indecisiveness that keeps me from actually starting one. IYKYK.

And now we’re officially in pre-travel mode — getting ready to head out of state for Christmas. The lists, the laundry, the “did I forget something” spiral, the last-minute errands… all happening at once. It’s great fun!
